Program Information
Minnesota's Medicaid program. Most people will be placed on a MHCP plan administered by an insurance company. Some people will be placed on a fee-for-service plan, commonly called "Straight MA"
Eligibility
• Must be Minnesota residents
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a qualifying noncitizen
• Provide a Social Security number for each person requesting MA, unless an exception is met
Income Limits
Application Requirements
• Social Security Number for all members of the household who have one
• Immigration Documents if applicable
• Employer and income information for all earners in the household
• Policy information for any current health insurance
• Information about employer-provided coverage
