EARLY EDUCATOR

Program Information

 

The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) created the Early Educator Benefits Program to help recruit and retain early childhood educators by providing access to employer-style benefits.

 

Benefits Include:

Dental insurance

Vision insurance

Telehealth services

Mental health services

Wellness benefits

Coverage Period

Benefits continue through September 2027 for accepted applicants.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Work in a qualifying licensed child care center
 

• OR licensed family child care
 

• OR certified Head Start
 

• Average at least 32 hours per week
 

• Work at least 8 months each year
 

• Meet all additional DCYF eligibility requirements
